AMG®.EA

Mercedes-AMG® is always looking to the future — and the new AMG®.EA platform will set the stage for eco-friendly, low-impact models for years to come. For the first time in 57 years, Mercedes-AMG® will build an SUV entirely in-house on the proprietary AMG®.EA electric high-performance platform. This model, “Born in Affalterbach,” will be the second to be built on this electric platform. It marks the sixth vehicle currently being developed in Affalterbach and aims to embody the Mercedes-AMG® philosophy of “AMG® first, EV second.” As part of a comprehensive evaluation, the SUV has begun cold weather testing, with the first test in Sweden and future drives near the Arctic Circle.

This is the culmination of 25 years of experience initiated by the ML 55 AMG® SUV. Today, there are currently six SUV models in the Mercedes-AMG® lineup, including the Mercedes-AMG® GLA and the eco-friendly Mercedes-AMG® EQE SUV, and this new model will follow in those illustrious footsteps.
