This new Mercedes-Benz model offers two updated powertrains, each with standard 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC® uses a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with 375 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 4MATIC® upgrades to a 4.0-liter V8 engine with 530 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque—an increase of 20 horsepower and 15 lb-ft of torque over previous models. Both engines include a 48-volt integrated starter generator that adds 23 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of electric support for smoother acceleration, coasting, and start-stop transitions.

Technology Features

The standard MBUX® Superscreen places three 12.3-inch displays beneath one continuous glass surface. Its MB.OS supports AI-backed functions, over-the-air software updates, and the MBUX® Virtual Assistant for more natural interaction.
